All of us do. What if someone had been willing to walk with them through their crisis before they divorced? Would things have turned out differently?
Christian Marriages In Crisis (CMIC) is a ministry of Living180 Ministries located Pelham, AL with world-wide reach. The focus of CMIC is to work with couples in crisis to restore their marriages through Christ bringing healing and lasting intimacy. Paul and Suzanne Talley founded CMIC in 2010, after spending 18 years as foreign missionaries and 6 years in the secular workforce. Since then, CMIC has counseled around 200 couples, with 96% of those who completed the program still married today.
Paul holds an MA in Theology and is a certified Pastoral Sex Addiction Professional and Supervisor (PSAP-S) and Suzanne is a Certified Life Couch as well as certified in Marriage and Healthy Sexuality. CMIC ministers to couples through private couple on couple counseling, individual and couples intensive workshops.
Unlike a clinical counseling firm, Paul and Suzanne do not clock in and out, billing couples by the hour, but “walk” with couples on a daily basis while trusting God to provide the needed funds. Their goal is to never turn aside a couple in crisis. CMIC relies on donations to fund the extra time spent instead of a normal hourly rate that would place the cost well beyond the reach of most couples,
They do this by walking with couples in crisis in a nonjudgmental and understanding way. “We are able to do this because we’ve been there ourselves. God redeemed our broken relationship and brought harmony to our marriage. God brought people into our lives that walked with us in a spirit of gentleness and we want to do the same with others.”
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”
– 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (NASB)
Statics say you do! If you do please send them our information or if it is you please contact Paul so that you can find freedom!! He does that in a non-judgement way as he focuses on the “why” and not on the “what” they are doing. He is compassionate as he has struggled with his own sexual addiction and has been sober since 2004. He has dozen of men, young and old, find freedom in this shaming struggle.
